LinkedIn: Money, Marketing, and More Money

LinkedIn is a unique social media platform from my previous blog entries because it is an employment-oriented platform that primarily revolves around business-to-business (B2B) marketing, rather than the typically known business-to-consumer marketing that you see on Instagram or Snapchat. B2B marketing is the exchange of products, services, or information between businesses. While B2B marketing can, and does, happen on Facebook and Twitter, LinkedIn is especially productive in this type of marketing.

Just like I mentioned in my Pinterest blog, you have to make sure that you business fits the social media platform. Can your business benefit from building its industry network or finding vendors to outsource services that you business cannot do? Then maybe LinkedIn may be right for you. LinkedIn was rated the number one site for B2B marketing, as well as the number one social media site used for product launches. (Emarketer.com)
Other reasons why you B2B marketing could be really successful on LinkedIn is because it can create overall awareness of your business, improve your reputation, and build traffic to your business. It also offers ample opportunity for your business to learn from others that have been previously successful in your industry. According to omnicoreagency.com, there is a total of 500 million LinkedIn Users, with half of them being active each month. With 44% of the of users are earning $75,000 a year, and 41% of millionaires, this is a social media made for high profits and your business can learn a lot from others' success.

I recommend that you check out Hootsuite.com's "LinkedIn for Business: The Ultimate Marketing Guide" Not only does this article explain step-by-step how your business can begin your LinkedIn journey, it talks about how you can actually create and implement a LinkedIn-specific marketing strategy. LinkedIn, like Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook, even features it's own analytics page to see if you are doing it right. You can monitor data on visitors, updates, and followers.

Business.linkedin.com highlights some important reasons why your business can flourish and provides examples of how top businesses have. Companies like Starbucks have showcased their brand's mission and vision, while Amazon has done a fantastic job marketing to niche audiences with their Showcase Pages.

For 2018, I predict that you are going to see more of a focus on video content, much like other platforms. Video marketing via LinkedIn is going to be powerful in generating B2B marketing leads. Socialmediatoday.com also explains that LinkedIn is going to be focusing more heavily on their Groups feature in 2018. This feature has the potential to connect even more businesses. So, if your business can benefit from LinkedIn, I suggest you get started now! LinkedIn means money, marketing, and more money...All the things you need to take over the social media machine.
